It's time once again to take a trip in the time machine, ALL the way back to the summer of 2010. Sometime in June, my friend Shane Moeller came to me with an idea to parody a PETA video he had come across. Seeing great potential in the idea, we decided to grab some extra help and make the video a reality. The entire film was shot in the basement of my home with the only camera we could find: my consumer Canon Elura 80. Luckily, the camera had manual settings and I was able to get a rather descent image. The most frustrating part about this shoot was the camera's zoom malfunction. If the zoom trigger was not held back during shooting, the camera would start a slow phantom-zoom. Fighting through a smelly basement and finger cramps, we were able to create a pretty comical parody. The short was finally pulled together in post with Brian Wiedl's voice over and Kenny Sciuito's spooky guitar playing. Enough backstory, enjoy this Blast from the relatively recent past.

Extraordinary People: Landon Richmond
During my time in Boston my first semester of College, I was fortunate enough to meet Landon Richmond. One day while walking down Commonwealth, I noticed Landon selling prints on the street.
The prints spoke for themselves, questioning many disturbing societal normalcies that tend to get overlooked. Each painting held Landon's unique style, which can be seen below:

Time Machine: Can't Beat The Craving
It's time to pull a video out of the time vault. I was going through old videos and found the first film I shot on 16mm. The film short is a silent black and white film about one man's determination to obtain a cigarette: an object that is ultimately shortening his life span.
Keep an eye out for more for more Time Machine posts as I recall old videos from the In & Out Of Focus archive.
The video was shot in sequence and edited 'in-camera'. This process forced me to be extremely careful with all of my shots, since I only had one attempt at each. Enough backstory, watch & enjoy.

Lettish
Yet another installment of Royal Family Videos. I filmed this piece during the Royal Family Holiday Rage at the Brooklyn Bowl back in December. Due to the limited amount of space on my memory card, I was only able to capture certain parts of the night. Throughout the entire show, I made sure to save some time for "Lettish", a hybrid version of Royal Family recording artists, Lettuce. I was not able to film the entire set, but was able to catch a crazy drum solo by Adam Deitch that is included below as well as a some serious Eric Krasno guitar love making. It is just a little taste of the amazing set that closed the night.Enjoy!

InterGalactic Garbage
Keeping myself entertained and busy during semester breaks tends to be a very difficult task. After a few days of relaxation, I quickly begin to miss the fast pace stress filled semesters. Sitting around with nothing to do, Shane Moeller & I decided to throw together a quick and comical stop-animation piece. Racking our brains for an idea, we decided to to put together a simple piece using Wolfgang Gartner's newest track Space Junk. The video is just the beginning of more complicated and entertaining stop animation pieces to come over the next month while I attempt to find ways to fill the rest of the break.
Don't forget to grab a copy of Wolfgang's new killer track "Space Junk" on Beatport or Itunes. Keep an eye out for more stop-animation pieces from In & Out of Focus, including Dubstep Waller & many others!

Royal Family Records
About one month ago, I sat down at my computer to make a dent in the mass amount of work that I used to seeing during the semester. As always, my attention slowly moved from my work to the ever addicting social network: facebook. The second I signed in, Soulive's status caught my eye:
Not expecting much, I sent out an email inquiring about the footage. Less than five minutes later I received and email asking for a link to some of my previous work. The next thing I knew, I was on the phone with Arthur Shim, who handles most of Royal Family Record's online media, photography, and design projects. A huge grin formed on my face as Arthur told me a hard drive would be at my door within the next few days.
Over the last few months, I have been working with Arthur and editing footage from the Bear Creek Music Festival. I was able to film the Royal Family Holiday Rage at the Brooklyn Bowl. Every week, a video is posted on Royal Family's youtube channel, as well as the website.
All of the videos posted so far, can be found below. Check the Youtube Channel & back here every week for another video filled with some seriously funky jams in HD (Select 720p in bottom left corner).

Zombie Apocalypse
This past weekend LiveSourceLI held a Zombie Apocalypse Party at Mr. Beery's in Bethpage, NY. Recreational Chemistry and Android Rights tore it up on the decks most of the night until an unfortunate speaker malfunction. If you weren't able to make it out, I have all the materials for you to relive the night. Below I have Recreational Chemistry's set from the night:
12/4 Zombie Set by Class Act
I also have plenty of pictures of Zombie Groovin' that ensued during the night. A few of my favorites are below:
